I think there will be a break in the heat wave today. Rain and cooler temps are on the way this afternoon and tonight. Hooray! To celebrate, I didn't go out at the crack of dawn to water.
This is Leda, an antique Damask rose dating from the early 1800's. The petals are many and vary in color from blossom to blossom. Creamy pink and often tinged with darker pink, she is also called the Autumn Damask or Painted Damask. This note card from Bebop's Place features two blushing pink scented blossoms.
