Welcome to Bebop's Place

Old fashioned Roses print

Beauty has been defined as "The quality that gives pleasure to the mind or senses and is associated with such properties as harmony of form or color, excellence of artistry, truthfulness, and originality." Since our responses are totally subjective, I can only speak to what moves me.

I want to share the beauty! I have created a variety of floral products for my Zazzle stores, Bebop's Place and Bebop's Weddings, using my original photographs and designs. I am also constantly amazed at the gorgeous floral products available from the rest of the Zazzle community. I am hoping others will enjoy this blog and even be moved to purchase some of these lovely items for gifts or just for the pleasure of having such beauty around.

Today dawned cool and clear. I have flowering tobacco (Nicotiana) which has volunteered and is blooming all over the garden. The bees, butterflies and hummingbirds love it. I watched a honeybee disappearing into the inner tube and then emerging full of pollen. I was inspired to created this poster for Bebop's Place which features a honeybee heading right for the golden green center of a lovely white and pink flowering tobacco blossom. The brilliant blue sky further enhances the vivid colors creating an interesting abstract composition.

A beautiful, bright, yellow sunflower is contrasted by a perfectly blue sky on this canvas print by Runninragged that's certain to brighten up your day every time.

Here is an exquisite note card from one of my very favorite photographers. Her store is called ecmcnap. About this card, Nancy says, "This little coneflower from my garden seemed to have a sassy attitude about it. I think it made a really cute card".

As we approach the middle of September, I look forward to the brilliant autumn colors but I find I am feeling nostalgic about the delicate beauties of spring.

Here is a calendar I created for Bebop's Place from some of my favorite spring photos. Colorful flowers are one of the joys of spring! Each month of this lovely wall calendar displays an exquisite photograph of a cheerful spring blossom. Enjoy crocuses, tulips, apple blossoms, spirea, daffodils, lilacs, Jacob's ladder, irises, Johnny-jump-ups, antique roses, glory of the snow and columbines as you dream of strolls through garden paths.

National Park T shirt offers this marvelous poster. In describing it she said, "I found this beautiful field of sunflowers close to my house this week. They look like a captive audience of yellow and green!"

Country1969 created this tulip mousepad. I find his history of their meaning just fascinating. "They are one of the world's most recognized and loved flowers. The meaning of tulips is generally love. Each color has a meaning to follow. Examples are: red is true love, purple is loyality, yellow ones evolved over the years representing hopeless love to cheerful thoughts and sunshine. White is used to claim worthiness or to send a message of forgiveness. No matter what color they are they are still beautiful for all occassions".

It's a rainy, dreary day here. Perfect for canning tomatoes and watching football.

My dahlias have had a very slow start this year. There are lots of buds and only a few gorgeous flowers. I am hoping we won't have an early frost so the buds will have a chance to open. Last year was much different. I took this photo of just picked waterlily dahlias in October and made it into a binder for Bebop's Place. Customize the text on this brilliantly colored binder to suit your needs (or delete the text for a simple black spine). A profusion of dahlias spill across the front and back in shades of gold, yellow, red, pink, blush, cream and white. Petals seem to glow in the sunshine.

This mousepad by Allthingsnatural would make a beautiful addition to your home or workplace. A close-up photo of sandcherry blossoms is close to an abstract and imprinted upon the mousepad.

Perfect for fall and autumn, this MARIGOLD UP CLOSE binder by BlayzeInk features a digital close up of a rusty orange marigold in full bloom, with pale orange highlights on both the front and back of this large binder.

Yesterday we pressed 16 quarts of cider. Today should be sunny and beautiful and I want to be outside. There's more tomato and apple picking to do but then I plan to wander around trying to capture the beauty with my camera.

Here's beauty I saw a few days ago and made into some products for Bebop's Place. Hang this poster on your wall and dream of wandering through this brilliantly colored flower garden. An orange coral zinnia dominates the foreground and is surrounded by red dahlias, blue ageratum, yellow rudbeckias and pink zinnias. What a glorious celebration of summer!

As the weather cools down, the food processing heats up around here. Yesterday I canned 7 quarts of tomato sauce and 11 pints of applesauce. Lot more tomatoes are in the wings. Today we plan to press our first batch of cider.

Mums bring the feeling of fall. A single elegant white chrysanthemum creates an interesting, decorative, almost abstract pattern on this poster I created for Bebop's Place.

I've been watching a pair of hummingbirds who are hanging out in our garden. Yesterday I got a photo of the female as she was hovering over these red and yellow zinnias and made it into a poster for Bebop's Place.

Now to some great rose products...

This one by Jade Designs thrills my photographer's soul! It's a print design featuring a yellow rose captured in black and white with dramatic side lighting enhancing the highlights and shadows of it's delicate petals.
