Welcome to Bebop's Place

Old fashioned Roses print

Beauty has been defined as "The quality that gives pleasure to the mind or senses and is associated with such properties as harmony of form or color, excellence of artistry, truthfulness, and originality." Since our responses are totally subjective, I can only speak to what moves me.

I want to share the beauty! I have created a variety of floral products for my Zazzle stores, Bebop's Place and Bebop's Weddings, using my original photographs and designs. I am also constantly amazed at the gorgeous floral products available from the rest of the Zazzle community. I am hoping others will enjoy this blog and even be moved to purchase some of these lovely items for gifts or just for the pleasure of having such beauty around.

This hot summer with just enough rain is making the tomato plants go crazy! We have to put more stakes up today.

This hoverfly is visiting Rosa Mundi, an exquisite vintage rose dating back to 1581. Her pink and white stripes and lovely, fragrant scent make her the star of the rose garden. I wish she was a repeat bloomer but she only blooms in June here. I immortalized her and her hoverfly friend for Bebops Place on this poster.

This 2011 calendar by Nationalpark_t_shirt features some great floral photography of roses, crocus, daffodils, tulips, irises, day lilies and pansies.

It should be a hot one today. I went out early and picked cucumbers, hot peppers and dill for our third batch of deli pickles. I also got green beans and broccoli.

My namesake is blooming! This rose is really named Bebop. I used her on a birthday card I made for Bebops Place. I'll probably be making a variety of cards from this one.

I really love this exquisite magnet from Littlewingdesign. What a gorgeous pink old fashioned rose, 'Aloha', surrounded by antique style white vignette. Fill in names of bride and groom and the date. © Little Wing Photography & Design. Customizable.

Today I have to leave my hill and go into town for groceries and books from the library. It's always a shock to enter "civilization" again.

Here are more roses...

These slip ons from Bebops Place feature two delicate little red rose buds on a lemon yellow background.

Deemac1 offer us this pink rose with rain or dew drops on a black and white background. The selective coloring really creates an interesting composition.

This thank you card by elizdesigns is just exquisite! A beautiful closeup photograph of a white rose bud with the text Thank You. Can be used for any occasion.

It is very early, just getting light, and the birds are beginning to sing. It makes me think of a beautiful, mystical scene I saw a few mornings ago. I went out at sunrise and took a picture of this full moon still showing among pink and orange clouds. Naturally I made some products for Bebops Place including this friendship card.

EnglishGardener offers us a keychain / keyring with a beautiful close up photo of an apricot coloured rose. The petals create such a lovely abstract.

New month. We are enjoying lots of goodies from the garden. Last night I made a hot and spicy stir fry with our fresh green beans, scallions, hot peppers and cilantro and served it with a chilled cucumber salad. I know it's subjective, but it makes me feel like I am absorbing the earth's energy when I eat this just-picked produce.

August is still summer and rose time. I made this long sleeve black pullover for Bebops Place. In a way, I think it looks like a rose in a black lapel (although it's really a white stock flower in a t-shirt).

Just look at these gorgeous roses on this poster by SweetRascal! She says... I just adore the colors of this rose and can't help but think of Strawberries and Cream! Picture taken at the Festival of Roses May 02, 2009.

Wow, it's the end of the month! Summer always seems to go by so fast. My tall verbenas have started blooming and all the little creatures are visiting the blossoms. Yesterday I took this photo of a honeybee on verbena with poppies in the background and made a poster and note card for Bebops Place.

Here is a beautiful floral card from Seymoursimages that can be used for a variety of occasions. Add your own text to make a very personal message. Use for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries or a sympathy card

All this heat and rain is really making things grow. Yesterday we had to stake the tomatoes even more as well as some of the lilies and the Golden Glow (Rudbeckia laciniata 'Hortensia').

I got creative with the image I used on the poster I posted here yesterday. In addition to making some cards with the straight image, I made a cutout of one of the roses and put it on lots of products for Bebops Place. Here it is on a travel mug.

I think the gorgeous zoom in of the heart of a pink rose, focusing on the inner-most petals on this magnet by RossiCards takes on an interesting abstract feeling.

The design on this tote bag by ArtformTheHeart is in the Art Nouveau style and is based upon sketches that the Scottish architect and artist Charles Rennie MacIntosh did for a design competition in 1901 named "House for an Art Lover". The house itself was not built until 1989, being completed and opened to the public in 1996 in Bellahouston Park, Glasgow.
