Beauty has been defined as "The quality that gives pleasure to the mind or senses and is associated with such properties as harmony of form or color, excellence of artistry, truthfulness, and originality." Since our responses are totally subjective, I can only speak to what moves me.
I want to share the beauty! I have created a variety of floral products for my Zazzle stores, Bebop's Place and Bebop's Weddings, using my original photographs and designs. I am also constantly amazed at the gorgeous floral products available from the rest of the Zazzle community. I am hoping others will enjoy this blog and even be moved to purchase some of these lovely items for gifts or just for the pleasure of having such beauty around.

I thought I'd post a non-rose product today. I took a picture of the casual bouquet I picked for my neighbor's 80th birthday before I gave it to her yesterday. She had a wonderful day! I made the pic into a poster for Bebop's Place. Applied a filter to make it look like a watercolor painting.

Today is my neighbor's 80th birthday. I went out early this morning to pick her a bouquet of roses but this extreme heat has made them pretty ratty. So she is getting rudbeckia, daisies, sweet peas and calendulas. It looks very sweet!
Now, on to some roses...
I adapted the design of these slip ons for Bebop's Place from a photo I took of hybrid tea roses.

The heat continues in the Northeast.
I have started making stickers for Bebop's Place . Here is my first rose sticker...a hoverfly on Rosa Mundi:
I think what I love most about this postcard by naturesmiles is the way the pale pink rose is set off by the blue petal behind it. Great photo and gorgeous postcard!
claire_shearer recently sold 500 of these invitations for what looks to be a huge wedding. I'm not surprised. This is a truly elegant design.

The northeastern United States is in the middle of a heat spell with 90's every day. I went out very early to water my veggies and annuals. I think they'll be fine as they are well mulched.

It's the Fourth of July...a day for picnics, fireworks and baseball. We've been cheering for our struggling Cleveland Indians. They are having a terrible year but all of a sudden have won 6 of their last 7 games. Maybe things are taking a turn for the better.

It's the start to our long holiday weekend. Fourth of July weekend seems to symbolize the real beginning of the summer season.
My Tuscany rose is still blooming. She is considered one of the oldest surviving Gallicas. It is believed that the description of the "Old Velvet Rose" in Gerard's The Herball or General Historie of Plantes refers to her. This document dates to 1596. So she's at least that old and probably much older. I featured her on this poster in Bebop's Place.
