It is sunny and clear but quite cool here. There was scattered frost in the valleys though our hilltop was spared. We will have to start bringing in our house plants today.
Meanwhile the flowers are still blooming. I took this photo last week and made a poster for Bebop's Place as a celebration of a sunny summer day in layers of color. Yellow marigolds are lowest, then come red and pink zinnias, and over them all is a brilliant blue sky with one fluffy cloud. Tiny apples hang from a tree in the distance.

I want to share the beauty! I have created a variety of floral products for my Zazzle stores, Bebop's Place and Bebop's Weddings, using my original photographs and designs. I am also constantly amazed at the gorgeous floral products available from the rest of the Zazzle community. I am cheerleading my dahlias this year, trying to inspire them to bloom like they had in the past 3 years. Kelgai Ann, the lovely pink and white waterlily dahlia, was so gorgeous last year and I featured her on this mug for Bebop's Place. This year, the buds are just barely starting to open and we're past the halfway mark in Septmber. Sigh.

These are blooming right now, the queens of the garden! Autumn is in the air and we pressed another 14 quarts of apple cider yesterday. It may be too early to think about spring, but here is a calendar that really celebrates springtime. When the daffodils bloom, we know that spring has arrived in all her glory! I created this 2011 Daffodil Calendar from my original photographs of some of my lovely narcissus blooms for Bebop's Place to celebrate the season with twelve exquisite photographs of narcissus varieties.

A few evenings ago, my neighbor called me to come watch her last Evening Primrose open. Three of us sat in the twilight dusk until it turned pitch black and the moon and stars came out. She had a flashlight indirectly lighting the area just so we could watch. It took a while, but this bud unfurled before our eyes. I came back early the next morning to get the final view before the sun hit her and she died. I documented this magical event with my camera and created a poster for Bebop's Place.

Everywhere I go these days in September, I am blown away by the fields of goldenrod. Yesterday I took this photo of a little house perched way up in the rolling hills of my corner of upstate New York. The view of the hilltop is lovely. Fields of goldenrod, illuminated by the sun, are accented by evergreen trees resulting in horizontal alternating layers of golden yellow and shades of green. Fluffy clouds have moved in on the blue sky. Hang this poster available from Bebop's Place on your wall and pretend it is a window!
