Welcome to Bebop's Place

Old fashioned Roses print

Beauty has been defined as "The quality that gives pleasure to the mind or senses and is associated with such properties as harmony of form or color, excellence of artistry, truthfulness, and originality." Since our responses are totally subjective, I can only speak to what moves me.

I want to share the beauty! I have created a variety of floral products for my Zazzle stores, Bebop's Place and Bebop's Weddings, using my original photographs and designs. I am also constantly amazed at the gorgeous floral products available from the rest of the Zazzle community. I am hoping others will enjoy this blog and even be moved to purchase some of these lovely items for gifts or just for the pleasure of having such beauty around.

One more cool, drizzly, cloudy day and then we are supposed to get our sunny summer back. I picked yet more beans and got them in the freezer.

This guy is definitely not a rose but I wanted to share him. It's a design I was working on for Bebop's Place last night. This brilliantly colored poster features a shiny green, yellow and black grasshopper perched on the purple center of a flower with gorgeous red petals.

Okay, now for some roses...

Here's a spaghetti strap t-shirt available from Designs by Kelly W. Patterson, featuring a print of an original painting by Kelly W. Patterson, entitled "TJ's Rose." The painting depicts a single red rose, signifying loyalty, passion, and undying love, inside a clear glass vase with a blue background, rendered in a impressionistic impasto style using a palette knife. It was originally created as a Valentine's Day gift.

The heavy rain and winds are finally over but some damage was done to the garden. We spent a lot of yesterday fortifying tomatoes, corn, sunflowers, zinnias and nicotiana that had been knocked down. I hope the roots weren't too disturbed.

Now to roses...

This elegant mug from Bebop's Place features three exquisite scarlet red roses, each with three green leaves, against a black background.

M Le Wallpapers says about this gorgeous mousepad, "I love roses, so here is a beautiful picture of a peach rose".

This is so sweet! A beautiful greeting card from flutterbydesigns for Grandparents Day with a photograph of a single pale pink rosebud on a black background. The text on the front, in white, is, 'To the best grandparents in the world!' and the inside is left blank for your own message.

I'm continuing to create bookmarks for Bebop's Place. This bookmark features my colorful summer flower garden filled with flowers in every brilliant color of the rainbow. Red, orange, pink and yellow dahlias combine with purple ageratum, multi colored nicotiana and red zinnias. Green foliage complete this riot of color. A scarecrow surveys the scene. The reverse has a quote from Cicero, "If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need."

And now to roses...

Here is a simple, elegant note card by DODGERFL of a single red rose.

This watercolor of a rose was painted and digitally re-colored by PsyborgAli. Sketched in ink, painted with artists quality watercolors, and then digitally re-colored to change the colors to monochrome and alter the style of the image. A single black rose with a white background. The stem has a leaf either side.

It's raining cats and dogs right now. Good for finally baking that blueberry pie with my latest picking and watching the garden grow out the window. It makes me think of this card I made for Bebop's Place from a photo I took last summer during a rain storm. I was staring out the window at my garden with all the flowers drinking in that water and just had to grab my camera.

Yesterday I harvested more beans, broccoli, blueberries and basil. Got it all in the freezer and plan to make a blueberry pie today.

All that didn't stop me from continuing my bookmark project. What could be lovelier than a bookmark decorated with my favorite bouquet of old-fashioned roses? This marker I made for Bebop's Place displays an exquisite design of red, pink and white antique roses set off by a black background. The image is repeated on the reverse side.

This is a lovely birthday card by Ruralfrance of a pink rose in the snow. How can something as delicate as this rose be so tough and resilient?

This apron by SusansZooCrew will sweeten your kitchen work! It's a single yellow rose flower cutout against a white background with the word Rose underneath in yellow and orange shading.

Recently I was pleasantly surprised when I sold my first tie. To celebrate, I'm posting this tie I made for Bebop's Place which features a repeating journey into the heart of a brilliant single petaled red rose. Her golden yellow stamens and velvety petals form a wonderful abstract pattern.
