Welcome to Bebop's Place

Old fashioned Roses print

Beauty has been defined as "The quality that gives pleasure to the mind or senses and is associated with such properties as harmony of form or color, excellence of artistry, truthfulness, and originality." Since our responses are totally subjective, I can only speak to what moves me.

I want to share the beauty! I have created a variety of floral products for my Zazzle stores, Bebop's Place and Bebop's Weddings, using my original photographs and designs. I am also constantly amazed at the gorgeous floral products available from the rest of the Zazzle community. I am hoping others will enjoy this blog and even be moved to purchase some of these lovely items for gifts or just for the pleasure of having such beauty around.

Tuesday - July 13, 2010

It's early in the morning and as I sit here a concert is coming in the window. A cardinal is singing his heart out, several robins have added their melodies, the catbird is mimicking everybody and redwing blackbirds are sort of clicking. A family of ravens are whooping it up. One red squirrel is posturing for another one. Frogs are croaking at the pond. Crows are barking. It rained last night and the slugs are also out so I have to go deal with them right now.

Okay, on to a some rose products... Today I seem to have an abstract theme.

gothictoggs has created a wild design in selective coloring for this poster.

This business card by animotaxis features an aerial view of stylized abstract roses in a spiral design on a leaf-lime green colored background.

I was in a strange mood last week and created this design in Photoshop for Bebop's Place.

July is moving along and my blueberry bushes are ripening. Naturally the birds are starting to go for them so today we will put the netting over them. We have 5 bushes and cover 4, leaving one for our feathered friends.

The other day I posted a note card of Leda. Here is the same image which I made into a birthday card for Bebop's Place. I cut out just one rose and moved her to a soft rainbow background. Then I repeated a variation on the inside.

gkrew1 created this stamp featuring a gorgeous yellow rose. It can be customized with the couple's names and special date.

BunnyBoiler tells us that "the Blonde Bomb Shelter is an island oasis in a sea of ordinary". This Forgiveness Tote lives up to the phrase...a very unusual message that makes you think.

We got our rain and it cooled down. Hooray! Today I'm going to a dear friend's wedding. I'm very happy for her. Hope the sun comes out in time.

I thought I'd post some tote bags with a rose theme.
Here is one I made for Bebop's Place with an "electric rose".

This is a cheerful, decorative tote by seashell2. I really love the message.

The message from commonmarket is pretty clear. Very sophisticated and elegant design!

I think there will be a break in the heat wave today. Rain and cooler temps are on the way this afternoon and tonight. Hooray! To celebrate, I didn't go out at the crack of dawn to water.

This is Leda, an antique Damask rose dating from the early 1800's. The petals are many and vary in color from blossom to blossom. Creamy pink and often tinged with darker pink, she is also called the Autumn Damask or Painted Damask. This note card from Bebop's Place features two blushing pink scented blossoms.

This wonderful design of a simple rose is featured on lots of products by simplesketch. I chose this mug for my blog because it would be the perfect way to greet the day with a cup of coffee or tea!

What a fun t-shirt by Spice. Just a lovely rose design...

I thought I'd post a non-rose product today. I took a picture of the casual bouquet I picked for my neighbor's 80th birthday before I gave it to her yesterday. She had a wonderful day! I made the pic into a poster for Bebop's Place. Applied a filter to make it look like a watercolor painting.

This poster by clickinchic features gorgeous pink almost coral colored roses.

Today is my neighbor's 80th birthday. I went out early this morning to pick her a bouquet of roses but this extreme heat has made them pretty ratty. So she is getting rudbeckia, daisies, sweet peas and calendulas. It looks very sweet!

Now, on to some roses...

I adapted the design of these slip ons for Bebop's Place from a photo I took of hybrid tea roses.

A perfect portrait of a gorgeous rose created by bluewren08 for this blank note card... I love the layout and the simple black and white border. A tiny image is repeated on the back.

What a lovely mousepad myshelle has created to have next to your computer as you are clicking away!
